The recreational cannabis market is long due for an overhaul starting with the labs. As first reported by MJBizdaily, the lack of standards in the cannabis testing industry will undermine the consumers’ trust in the products they purchase.

Some brands are pumping up test figures to sell consumers the hype of high percentage THC. Falsified test figures are not the only concern. What else?  Consumers need to keep an eye out for microfiber and possibly other contamination in their flower. 

With only a handful of major players in the industry monopolizing, the industry needs a major scrub down before cannabis becomes federally decriminalized.  Collaboration and standardized testing should be the biggest priority before it turns into another corporate greed machine, churning out mids and poison that reach the consumers.
